Garner Talks Elektra Preparation

By Garth Franklin Monday April 5th 2004 11:13PM

That Jennifer Garner is everywhere. As if the lead in TV spy drama "Alias" wasn't enough to keep her busy, she's regularly popping out at least one film a year (this time its "13 Going on 30" opening April 23rd) and has been in the tabloids of late due to the recent split from TV co-star Michael Vartan.

Now, during her break from the show, she's about to get filming next month on "Elektra", the "Daredevil" spin-off based on her character. Speaking about the film to About.Com at the '13 Going' press junket this past weekend, the first thing she cleared up is that it's NOT a prequel as widely rumoured, but in fact a sequel after all (how it'll explain her apparent death in "Daredevil" is unsure).

What can we expect tone wise that will differentiate this film from "Daredevil"? " I think she has such a rich story line of her own and we’re really mining that story line in this movie, a lot of the Frank Miller stuff for Elektra, really using it. It’s quite dark. I mean, her story is quite dark".

Wardrobe wise you won't be seeing the girl's famed red leotard outfit from the comics - "She’s known mostly for this red outfit that you can’t seem to wear any underwear underneath, so we could never quite figure out how to make it work". However we wil be seeing outfits far more reminiscent of the comics than her leather "Daredevil" getup.
