Jamie Foxx is attached to star in the adaptation of Jeff Stetson's novel "Blood on the Leaves" for Paramount Pictures reports Variety.
Stetson will adapt his own work, which centers on a district attorney who grapples with feelings of revenge as he prosecutes a black history professor on trial for the murders of white men accused of crimes against blacks during the civil rights movement.
Foxx would topline as the District Attorney. Warner Books published the book July 2004. Foxx's next work is the CD "Unpredictable" for J Records due out Tuesday. He'll next be seen in Michael Mann's "Miami Vice" and Bill Condon's "Dreamgirls".
