MI6 has launched the first edition of their "Casino Royale" production diary with news on a delayed start, Aston Martin status, title theme and Bond girl race in the upcoming 007 thriller starring Daniel Craig.

Despite rumours of Robbie Williams involvement in singing the theme song, its been confirmed that the studio hasn't commissioned anyone officially and is still "deciding the style of the song and discussing possible artists". David Arnold will compose the rest of the film's score.

Aston Martin still do not have an official deal to appear in the 21st James Bond film, although its expected the Aston Martin V8 Vantage will be the car of use in the film. Earlier this week pop singer Seal has been linked to a villain role as a South African money launderer called Solari, and when contacted Eon Productions declined to comment on the story.

Martin Campbell confirmed 007 will not be seen smoking in the film, and will also "only feature one explosion". Despite the back to basics approach, the budget of the movie is expected to be on the order of $100m. Principal photography will start on January 30th 2006, with locations in the UK, Czech Republic (Prague), Italy, and the Bahamas.
