Scarlett Johansson will star in the indie pic "Napoleon and Betsy," which Benjamin Ross ("The Young Poisoner's Handbook", "RKO 281") will write and direct reports Variety.
The story centers on the true story of deposed French ruler Napoleon Bonaparte's last years in exile on St. Helena, as seen through the eyes of an English girl with whom he falls in love.
Johansson's upcoming slate is busy with "The Nanny Diaries", "Amazon" and Neil Jordan's "Borgia" all on the cards.
