Neeson Open To Playing Ra's Al Ghul Again

With Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy over, Liam Neeson has essentially hung up the role of Batman villain Ra's Al Ghul which he played in 2005's "Batman Begins" and briefly reprised in a cameo in 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises".

With Ra's Al Ghul set to serve as the lead villain in the upcoming third season of The CW's "Arrow," Neeson was asked by MTV this week if whether he's been approached about reprising the role to which he responded:

"No, I haven't, I haven't at all. I would, in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so."

The question was admittedly garbled by a nervous interviewer so it sounds more like Neeson was being polite or thinking he was referring to something else. Clearer though was his advice to whomever lands the role be it on the series or in future projects featuring the character:

"They have to believe in their philosophy. Ra's al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with. Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it."
