Agents of SHIELD
Marvel has revealed the identity of that actor spotted on the set of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." the other week with the blue arm, and it turns out he's not playing a member of the Kree race.

Instead, he's actor Brian Patrick Wade ("Generation Kill," "Teen Wolf") and he'll be playing a different Marvel entity - Crusher Creel aka. The Absorbing Man. Creel has the ability to absorb the properties of anything he touches and will appear very early into the new season. [Source: Marvel.com]

Doctor Who
Appearing at the annual Edinburgh TV Festival this week, BBC TV chief Danny Cohen said "I hope so" when asked if he could envisage seeing the first female version of The Doctor sometime in the near future once Peter Capaldi leaves the role.

The BBC has also announced the tie-in series "Doctor Who Extra," essentially a rebranded "Doctor Who Confidential" which takes you behind the scenes of each of the upcoming episodes of the new "Doctor Who" season. 'Extra' will be exclusively available on BBC iPlayer. [Source: THR

Castle
ABC has reportedly begun development of a "Castle" spin-off. However this isn't a regular type of spin-off, it is in fact a series based on the Derrick Storm series of mystery novels written by Nathan Fillion's fictional author.

"Missing" creator Gregory Poirier will write the script and also executive produce the show which will potentially use material from the tie-in books penned by ghost writers. The books follow a PI-turned-spy working for the CIA. [Source: Deadline

DadBoner
Comedy Central has ordered a pilot for "@DadBoner," a new animated comedy series based on the popular Twitter feed and the Mike Burns-penned book it spawned.

Burns and Tim Long will pen the pilot about a fictional middle-aged Michigan man separated from his wife who has developed his own philosophy of life that involves indulging in dangerously generous helpings of booze, fast food, and American pride. [Source: Deadline]

The Expanse
Steven Strait ("Magic City") and Shohreh Aghdashloo ("24") have joined the cast of Syfy's "The Expanse". Aghdashloo plays a passionate member of a political family legacy. Strait will play the captain of an ice-carrying freighter drawn into a dangerous plot.

Set two centuries into the future, the story follows the case of a missing young woman who brings a hardened detective (Thomas Jane) and a rogue ship's captain together in a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history. [Source: TV Wise]
