Dark Horse Comics is attempting to unite the rather jumbled yet interconnected universe of "Alien," "Predator," "Aliens vs. Predator" and "Prometheus" in an ambitious crossover comic series event.

Things kick off next month with "Prometheus: Fire and Stone," which is set after the events of Ridley Scott's 2013 sci-fi film. In the comic, a new team heads to LV-223 to learn the fate of the Prometheus, and there they uncover a dark mystery.

This will be followed by "Aliens: Fire and Stone," "AVP: Fire and Stone" and "Predator: Fire and Stone". New books will be published on an eight-week cycle, meaning a new issue in one of the four books will be released every two weeks.

All four series will share some concepts, characters and situations. When each of the four books are concluded, one special issue will be published to wrap-up the overall story arc. The first issue hits stores on September 10th.
