Former "Friday Night Lights" star Adrianne Palicki has scored the guest starring role of super spy Bobbi Morse (aka. Mockingbird) in the upcoming second season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." for ABC.
Palicki will appear in the fifth episode of the new season with the potential to return, and at first may not be an ally of Agent Coulson and his team.
The actress joins an impressive line-up of guest stars for the series in the new season including Kyle MacLachlan as Skye's father, Lucy Lawless as SHIELD veteran Isabelle Hartly, Reed Diamond as Hydra villain Daniel Whitehall, Nick Blood as a mercenary and Henry Simmons as agent Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie.
Palicki has experience with comics on TV, although twice now she's been thwarted. She played Wonder Woman in a TV pilot for a series about the DC Comics heroine, and she played the love interest in a pilot for an "Aquaman" series starring Justin Hartley. Neither show was picked up by their respective networks.
"Agents of SHIELD" returns September 23rd at 9pm.
