Irish model and actor Jamie Dornan has emerged as the director and studio's choice to star as King Arthur in Guy Ritchie's proposed trilogy of movies about the Arthurian legend at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The Sun broke the news, saying the "Fifty Shades of Grey" and "The Fall" star is the top choice. The feeling is reportedly mutual with the actor eager to diversify his career. His commitment to the 'Fifty Shades' franchise though is an issue.
Their source says: "Jamie is keen on the role, too, and his US agents are keen to work out a deal where he'll be able to do both franchises. They have to convince Universal to allow Jamie to make the film with Warner Brothers, which isn't looking promising."
Ritchie's first of a potential three-part reimagining of the story of the knights of Camelot is currently slated for a July 22nd 2016 release.
