"Aquaman" Film Gets Two Competing Scripts

"300: Rise of an Empire" scribe Kurt Johnstad and "Gangster Squad" writer Will Beall have been hired to pen one script each for a solo "Aquaman" movie for Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics.

A source tells THR the two aren't co-writing the project, rather they are writing separate scripts with the studio hoping to bring together the best version from the two works. There's no release date at present for the film.

"Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa has been linked to the role all year, with his first appearance said to be a cameo in the currently filming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".

The actor, however, has been avoiding answering the question whenever it's brought up in interviews though Variety went as far today as to say he's a lock.
