The series premiere of Adult Swim's latest live-action original comedy series "Black Jesus" pulled a healthy 0.9 ratings and a little over 2 million viewers at 11pm on Thursday night.
Its live-plus-same-day showings topped all original competition on cable for the day along with several broadcast series including "The Quest," "Rookie Blue" and "Gang Related". The show also topped the entire day of men 18 to 49 across basic cable. [Source: The Live Feed]

Spike TV has begun development of a high-octane action and political thriller series which reinvents Alexandre Dumas' revenge classic "The Count Of Monte Cristo".
Joshua D. Maurer ("Rubicon") is developing the series, though it's unknown if the project is being planned as either a miniseries or a limited series at this point. [Source: Deadline]
The legendary Clancy Brown has scored a pivotal recurring role in the upcoming fifth episode of The CW's "The Flash". The appearance marks Brown's return to the DC world, the actor memorably voiced Lex Luthor in several animated series.
In "The Flash," Brown will play General Wade Eiling, also known as The General, the head of a black ops army team pursuing Plastique (Kelly Frye) in the hopes of using her as a human weapon. Eiling may have ties to a central Flash character. [Source: The Live Feed]
