Westworld
James Marsden is set to join the cast of HBO’s upcoming sci-fi pilot "Westworld," a TV series reimagining of Michael Crichton's 1973 Western thriller. Marsden will play Teddy Flood, a mysterious new arrival to a small frontier town.

The story is set in the near future in a theme park full of robots where guests can live out any fantasy they wish. Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Angela Sarafyan and Simon Quarterman also star. [Source: Variety]

Southpaw
Naomie Harris ("Skyfall") and Beau Knapp ("Super 8") have joined the cast of Antoine Fuqua's boxing drama "Southpaw" at The Weinstein Company. Kurt Sutter penned the script.

Jake Gyllenhaal plays a welterweight champ whose career soars as his personal life falls apart. Harris will play a social worker who works with Gyllenhaal’s character. [Source: Deadline]

Untitled Christmas Eve Movie
Lizzy Caplan ("Masters of Sex") and Jillian Bell ("22 Jump Street") will join Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie in Jonathan Levine's "Untitled Christmas Eve Movie" at Sony Pictures. Filming begins next week in New York City.

The story revolves around three childhood best friends who reunite in New York City for their annual tradition of going out on Christmas Eve. Caplan will play Diana, a love interest to Gordon-Levitt's character. Bell will play the wife of Rogen’s character who supplies the group with drugs.[Source: THR]

Untitled Culinary Movie
Matthew Rhys ("The Americans") has joined the cast of the currently untitled Bradley Cooper-led culinary movie at The Weinstein Company. Rhys plays Reece, the nemesis in the way of Bradley Cooper's chef protagonist.

Cooper plays Adam Jones, a two Michelin Star chef in Paris whose ability to create explosions of taste is undermined by his badboy rants and diva behavior that destroy his career. [Source: Deadline]

Criminal
Alice Eve ("Star Trek Into Darkness") will join Kevin Costner, Ryan Reynolds, Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Oldman in Ariel Vromen's thriller "Criminal" for Millennium Films.

The story begins when a dead CIA operative's memories are implanted into a dangerous convict in hopes that he will stop a diabolical plot. [Source: Deadline]
