The worst kept secret about Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is that a bunch of other superheroes aside from the previously announced three will have brief appearances in the film, most notably Aquaman.
Everyone assumes actor Jason Momoa is playing the role, the actor amusingly ducking the question whenever he's asked despite photographic evidence of him attending the same rock climbing gym in Detroit as Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot.
Still, many are debating the topic of why they are bothering with the character in 'Dawn of Justice'. Amongst those who have been discussing it were the radio hosts on Detroit's 97.1 The Ticket this morning when a call came in. The person on the other end of the line appeared to be Zack Snyder himself. Audio recording of the radio chat can be heard and the voice certainly matches Snyder both in tone and cadence.
Snyder wouldn't acknowledge if Aquaman was in the movie or not, but did go on to defend the character and his powers:
"You guys were disparaging, a little bit, Aquaman… I don't want to give anything away about the movie or anything like that but Aquaman has some cool abilities.People are like, "Oh what? Does he talk to animals? Cause that seems like what he does. Or fish?"
The cool thing with Aquaman is his trident so you have to realize that could cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact. That's a thing that's in the canon.
He's super strong cause of course he can exist at these super deep depths so when he comes up here he's crazy strong. Anyway, not to say he's in my movie or anything like that but he has the potential to be bad ass, that's all I'm saying."
