Vanessa Redgrave, Leslie Phillips and Richard Griffiths have joined the cast of London-set comedy "Venus" from director Roger Michell ("Notting Hill") reports Variety.
Phillips ("Out of Africa") and Peter O'Toole play seasoned if unsuccessful thesps in their 70s who are forced to re-evaluate their lives after the introduction of an inquisitive young woman, played by newcomer Jodie Whittaker.
The eight-week "Venus" shoot kicked off today in and around London and at Ealing Studios. Miramax Films closed a deal today to acquire the North American and U.K. distribution rights to the film
