Prisoner Of War
Lee Pace ("Guardians of the Galaxy," "The Hobbit") has joined the cast of Joe Miale's sci-fi thriller "Prisoner Of War" as his next leading role, replacing Alex Russell ("Chronicle").
The story follows an American soldier and a French foreign aid worker who team up in Africa amid humankind's last stand against a cataclysmic alien invasion. Filming begins in September in South Africa. [Source: Deadline]

Tony-winning actor Christian Borle is in talks to play both Smee and Mr. Darling in NBC's live production of "Peter Pan" this Fall.
Traditionally in some productions, the actor who plays Captain Hook also plays Mr. Darling, but Christopher Walken is only doing Hook this time - leaving Borle to take on the double duty role. [Source: EW]
James Van Der Beek ("Dawson's Creek") has scored a series regular role in "CSI: Cyber" on CBS. Van Der Beek will play FBI Agent Elijah Mundo, an expert in battlefield forensics recruited for his war efforts in Afghanistan. Mundo is a -proclaimed action junkie and savant when it comes to weaponry, vehicles and bombs.
The new spinoff centers on special agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) who heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI, a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that live online and play out in the real world. Peter MacNicol and Charley Koontz also star. [Source: The Live Feed]
Dakota Fanning is set to join Jennifer Connelly and Ewan McGregor in Philip Noyce's film adaptation of Philip Roth's "American Pastoral" for Lakeshore Entertainment.

Ian McShane ("Deadwood") and Nelsan Ellis ("True Blood") have joined the cast of the jazz biopic "Bolden" with Gary Carr ("Downton Abbey") playing the legendary musician Buddy Bolden.
Bolden was one of the leading forces behind the New Orleans rag-time music that gave way to jazz, and was later diagnosed with schizophrenia. Ellis plays Bartley, the manager of the Bolden Band. McShane plays Jude Perry, Bolden's nemesis. [Source: The Wrap]
