Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to star alongside Kevin Hart in the Tim Story-directed action comedy "The Black Phantom" for Screen Gems.
The story is described as an "outrageously inappropriate" comedy following a clever double-crossed mob hitman (Hart) who ends up partnering with the notorious hit man The Black Phantom (Jackson) who has been hired to kill him.
Jackson replaces Jamie Foxx who had to bow out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Dave Lease and Megan Hinds penned the script while Will Packer and Will Gluck will produce.
Jackson will likely shoot the film before he gets to work on Quentin Tarantino's upcoming western "The Hateful Eight".
