21st Century Fox will apparently release a new extended edition of Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" next year, a new cut that could restore some of the subplots cut out of the original edition
Executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner tweeted to fan last month that an extended cut of the movie would be released later this year, one likely to contain the excised subplot about Rogue (Anna Paquin) that Singer had previously teased.
Fox's Marketing Communications EVP James Finn confirmed this past weekend on Twitter than an extended edition would be released, but not until 2015, which means the version contained in the upcoming Digital HD/Blu-ray release will only be the film's theatrical cut.
Asked for further details about the extended edition, he simply said "Soon".
The theatrical cut of the movie will hit Digital HD and VOD platforms on September 23rd ahead of a Blu-ray release on October 14th.
