Following on from their actors list, Forbes Magazine has now published their annual list of the top earning actresses for the July 2013/June 2014 financial year. The list is of gross salaries including acting paycheques, endorsement deals, and more and doesn't take into account tax, agent and management fees or other related costs.
Easily coming in at the top is Sandra Bullock who scored an impressive $51 million, mostly thanks to her deal for "Gravity" which saw her nab $20 million up front against a 15% first-dollar gross.
Coming in second is Hollywood's in high demand Jennifer Lawrence, and third is Jennifer Aniston who fared so well thanks to endorsement deals and working for a percentage of the profits rather than a large upfront payment.
After that though there's a drop-off, the rest of the top ten raking in between $10-19 million and include the likes of Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Cameron Diaz and Kristen Stewart.
- Sandra Bullock - $51 million
- Jennifer Lawrence - $34 million
- Jennifer Aniston - $31 million
- Gwyneth Paltrow - $19 million
- Angelina Jolie - $18 million
- Cameron Diaz - $18 million
- Scarlett Johansson - $17 million
- Amy Adams - $13 million
- Natalie Portman - $13 million
- Kristen Stewart - $10 million
Sadly the numbers also show that women are earning less than men - the top ten combined made $226 million, a little over half of the combined $419 million that the top ten men made.
