Leading up to and during production of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot, the project scored a lot of criticism over various points. From Michael Bay production to alien origin rumors, from the design of the turtles themselves to the overall tone - fans have been vocal about their scepticism.
Well during the press conference for the film, actress Megan Fox was asked about the online backlash. She had a message for those doubters, one that ties back to Bay's "Transformers" franchise which made her a star. Here's what she told Cinema Blend:
"Let me tell you something about those people. How much money did Transformers 4 make? Exactly. Those people can complain - they all go to the theater. They’re gonna love it - and if they don’t love it, they can f--k off, and that’s the end of that."
Fox’s casting early last year also drew criticism, a lot of which was due to her association with Michael Bay. Even 'Turtles' co-creator Peter Laird admitted he wasn't a fan, which has understandably put her a bit on the defensive.
