"Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer is set to produce a new film adaptation of Lois Duncan's 1974 young adult novel "Down a Dark Hall" for Lionsgate

Meyer optioned the book two years ago but now it looks like the film is finally happening and Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are also onboard to produce.

The story follows a new female student at a boarding school who must confront the powerful headmistress and her supernatural powers.

Rodrigo Cortes ("Buried," "Red Lights") has signed on to direct from a script by Michael Goldbach and Chris Sparling.
