A few days ago came what appeared to be a pirated leak of test footage showcasing what an R-rated film based on the Marvel comic "Deadpool" could look like. "X-Men" producer Lauren Donner has been trying to get the project made for years now and recently confirmed it's still in the works at 20th Century Fox.
Ryan Reynolds has long been attached to reprise the character which he previously played in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". Then, at least a year ago, Blur Studios teamed with Reynolds and director Tim Miller to essentially do a proof of concept reel - footage that "Deadpool" creator Rob Liefeld talked about last year.
Cut to the weekend and someone's cell phone recording of the footage leaked online. Cease and desist orders came fast, but the clip was out there - in fact it has been suspected that the leak may well have been deliberate to generate interest. Now, it appears a good quality, official copy of the clip has been released so you can see it for yourself the way it was meant to be.
