Following its debut at the Warner Bros. Pictures Comic Con panel yesterday, the first footage is out from George Miller's "Mad Max: Fury Road" and it's spectacular. The two-and-a-half minute clip, a cut down version of the one screened at Comic Con, showcases some stunning action in what has been described as one giant chase movie with barely any dialogue.
The Namibian location gives it a slightly different, more sandy and more exotic look than the rockier, redder Australian desert locales. Yet inspite of the CG touches, it still feels very much a Max film with its wardrobe, its practical car effects and its tone. Tom Hardy even seems to be attempting an Aussie accent with his one gruffly delivered line.
