It's not out until September, but 20th Century Fox already has enough confidence in their young adult franchise "The Maze Runner" that they're moving ahead with a sequel.
"Teen Wolf" scene stealer Dylan O'Brien stars in the film as Thomas, a young man who awakens with no memory and is deposited into a community of boys trapped inside an enormous maze. He soon learns they are part of a mysterious test, and finds it is his destiny to join the ‘maze runners’ and lead them to freedom.
Director Wes Ball and some of the film's cast showed up at Hall H to show off a new trailer and scenes from the film. Towards the end of the presentation, Ball announced that development on the film version of James Dashner’s sequel novel "The Scorch Trials" was underway and hopes to film as early as towards the end of the year should the first film be successful.
The panel followed a secret fan screening of the film in San Diego last night which drew ecstatic reviews across social media.
