Dwayne Johnson has all but confirmed that he's set to star in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming movie based on the DC Comics title "Shazam," but won't make clear if he's going to play the hero Captain Marvel or the villain Black Adam.
It took place earlier today when Johnson tweeted a piece of art featuring the pair of characters along with Superman battling it out. He added the caption "Someone's gonna get it". This follows on from a video interview tease earlier this week suggesting he's going to play Captain Marvel.
Meanwhile, last month came a report that Benedict Cumberbatch was being rumored to play the title role in Marvel's "Doctor Strange" movie. MTV caught up with the "Sherlock" star at Comic-Con today to see if there was any truth to it:
"As far as I'm aware, even if that was the case, it couldn't work out because I'm doing a little play called 'Hamlet' in a little town called London. So I don't think I could even if that was in the cards. It sounds like a fantastic project. It's a shame if I miss out, but who knows?"
When asked if he had actually engaged in any discussions for the role, he said: "I couldn't possibly comment."
