Pixels
Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced that iconic video game characters PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Galaga, Frogger, Q*bert, and Space Invaders are all set to feature in Chris Columbus' new action comedy "Pixels" opening next May. The likes of Atari, Konami, Bandai Namco, Nintendo, Taito and Warner Brothers are teaming with the makers on the film.

Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, and Brian Cox star in the story of a handful of washed up video game champions called into help when aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, so they've started attacking Earth using the games as models for their various assaults. Daredevil
"Daredevil" showruner Steven S. DeKnight made an appearance on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" red carpet last night and spoke about the tone of the upcoming Netflix series:

"We're going for a very gritty, 1970's New York feel. We love the idea of beauty in the decay of the city, and Hell's Kitchen being a place that is both horrible and beautiful at the same time. That's why Matt Murdock loves it so much and wants to protect it." [Source: CBM]

Untitled Cameron Crowe Project
Sony Pictures has decided to delay Cameron Crowe's upcoming untitled romantic comedy starring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone. The film, originally scheduled for this Christmas, has now been pushed back to a May 29th 2015 release.

The main reason is reportedly due to Sony seeing a new cut of the film and deciding it was much more of a Summer movie for the audience rather than a film that will generate a lot of awards heat. Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin, Rachel McAdams, John Krasinski, and Danny McBride also star. [Source: Sony Pictures]

The One and Only Ivan
Mike White is in negotiations to write a film adaptation of Katherine Applegate's 2011 children's gorilla story "The One and Only Ivan" for Walt Disney Pictures. Allison Shearmur is producing.

The story centers on the silverback gorilla Ivan, who is in a cage at a mall with an elderly elephant named Stella and a stray dog named Bob. When a baby elephant arrives, Ivan regains his memories and plans an escape to protect the new elephant from their abusive owner. [Source: Variety]
