Susan Heyward ("The Following") has scored the female lead role in the upcoming TV series adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's acclaimed graphic novel series "Powers".

The story is set in a world full of people with superhuman abilities (aka. Powers) and follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim (Heyward), who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities.

Also onboard are Max Fowler ("The Killing") and Adam Godley ("Breaking Bad"). Fowler plays the disaffected teen Krispin Stockley, the son of Walker’s previous partner who was murdered by a rogue Power. Godley is Captain Cross, head of the Powers division who may have his own agenda.

A previous failed FX pilot based on the property starred Lucy Punch and Charles S. Dutton as Deena Pilgrim and Captain Cross respectively. This project however is going straight to series and will debut on the Sony Playstation Network.
