FX's vampire virus drama "The Strain" may have had mixed reviews from the critics, but ratings wise it had very promising start. 'Strain' pulled in an average 1.2 rating and 3 million viewers overall for its initial telecast on Sunday night.
That rating is equal to TNT's "The Last Ship" as the top premiere of the summer, and ahead of FX's own "Fargo" (0.8) and "Tryant" (0.6). It was second for the night in the key demo, only behind a new episode of HBO's "True Blood". [Source: Variety]
