Ahead of its massive presentation on Saturday week (July 26th) at the San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios has confirmed on Twitter that it is set to announce "an all-new thundering title" on tomorrow's episode (Tuesday July 15th) of the daytime talk show "The View" airing at 11am US-EST.
The pairing is decidedly strange - the demographics of Marvel films and "The View" audience are quite different. Yet both are Disney owned and the Mouse House is no doubt hoping to push talk about the show away from all the current controversy surrounding the changing cast members.
What will the Marvel project be? With "Captain America 3" and "Doctor Strange" looking likely to be the two Marvel 2016 titles, if it is a film it's most likely going to be a third "Thor" set for early 2017 - the "thundering" hint and Twitter video of lightning bolts certainly suggesting it. Others, however, have indicated that it might not be either a film or TV show.
In other Marvel news, 92 year old Stan Lee has confirmed that he finished shooting his cameo in Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" with a scene that includes both Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans).
Lee also jokingly pitch a desire to cameo in rival DC/Warners' "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", telling Digital Spy: "DC could probably make a lot more money with ['Batman v Superman'] if they announced that I'd have a cameo in it. People wouldn't believe it - they'd have to go to the theater to see it."
