Though there's been numerous silly rumors regarding Zack Snyder's upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," last week's report of a completely fake script penned by Kevin Smith at the request of Warner Brothers was probably the wildest.
That report indicated the studio and Smith had collaborated on a full-length feature film script that was then deliberately leaked to several gossip sites a while back. The purpose of creating the script was misinformation, with almost all of the rumors about the film that have popped up so far to have come from this fake draft.
Today, Smith has finally spoken out about it and, no surprise, says categorically on Twitter: "No, I didn't write a fake Batman v Superman script". He also used the tweet to give a quick plug for his upcoming horror film "Tusk" by showcasing that film's first official poster.
In spite of Smith's denial, there reportedly is a "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" screenplay circulating around the internet, but its origins may never be confirmed - those who have seen it have already expressed doubts regarding its veracity.
