Producer Lauren Shuler Donner was recently asked about whether the rumored director's cut of "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" will be coming to disc.
She confirmed on Twitter that it is "coming later this year". Though not stated in the tweet, this is expected to be an extended version that includes more of the old trilogy mutant cast - most notably Anna Paquin's Rogue.
Producer Simon Kinberg previously indicated the subplot in which Rogue becomes much more a key part of the narrative, including the scene where the older Professor X and Magneto break her out of a Sentinel-guarded prison, will likely NOT be a part of said cut.
Instead if it is on the disc it will be as part of the film's deleted scenes collection. The film, the biggest earner of the year so far both domestically and internationally, currently doesn't have a home release date as yet.
