Chan, Dunst & Luna Talk Turkey

An aging action hero and two young rising stunners spoke about their future work to assorted outlets, here's the goss:

According to Monkey Peaches, Jackie Chan will star in and produce a biopic on Yue Fei, a legendary Chinese general. Chan expects to begin the film shortly, with his son in the role of the general in his younger years. The script is almost complete. Production is expected to commence in 2005, once Chan wraps his next feature. Traditionally, Yue Fei is the most talked symbol of patriotism among the Chinese and he is one of the most popular heroes in many Chinese folklores. Chan's also interested in doing a film based on "Genghis Kahn" - something Steven Seagal is currently working on too

Kirsten Dunst spoke with The Calgary Sun recently although in an odd move, it wasn't about what she was doing but what her boyfriend Jake Gylenhaal is up to next - namely the gay cowboy drama "Brokeback Mountain". Dunst says "It's an incredible script. I am so excited for Jake. This is Jake's movie, I wouldn't ever meet on (ie. star in) that one - I'll be excited with him and for him and that's enough for me. Jake and I have no problem about working together, it's just that Gigli has pretty well ruined it for high-profile couples for a while". Dunst won't be bored sitting at home though, "I'm going to be filming Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown (with Orlando Bloom) in Los Angeles and Kentucky at about the same time, but I've heard it's spectacular country up there".

"Y Tu Mama Tambien" and "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights" star Diego Luna spoke with Las Horas Perdidas the other day during promotions for his film "Nicotina" and brought up Icon's soccer project "Goal" in which he stars and which Michael Winterbottom will direct. Seems Gibson's company has big plans for this film - or rather, this trilogy. The films follow a latin soccer player (Luna) who will travel to an European Club Newcastle in the first movie. Then he will move onto Real Madrid in the second movie and finally he will play with his selection (maybe Argentina or Spain) in the 2006 Germany World Cup. Stellan Skarsgard will play the role of the Newcastle coach. Winterbottom is expected to helm all three films.
