North Korea To Retaliate Against Franco & Rogen

By Garth Franklin Wednesday June 25th 2014 03:08PM

North Korea has continued its condemnation of the upcoming Seth Rogen and James Franco-led comedy "The Interview," but now their language is a bit more fierce.

A spokesman for North Korea’s Foreign Ministry told KCNA (via THR) today that: "If the U.S. administration connives at and patronizes the screening of the film, it will invite a strong and merciless countermeasure."

The comedy itself, which opens in October, involves a plot to assassinate North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un and the spokesman calls the film "the most undisguised terrorism and a war action".

This follows on from less inflammatory criticisms against the film spoke by Kim Myong-chol, executive director of The Centre for North Korea-U.S. Peace, in a British newspaper last week.
