Antonio Banderas is returning home to Spain to shoot "El camino de los Ingleses" (The Road of the English) on November 21st, his second directorial outing after 1999's "Crazy in Alabama" reports Variety.

Based on the novel of the same title by Spanish writer Antonio Soler (who also adapted the screenplay), "Camino" is a coming-of-age tale charting the first loves, lusts and obsessions of friends on vacation at the end of the 1970s. Filming begins in Banderas' home city of Malaga, in southern Spain, and will continue in London.

The large cast is headed by Alberto Amarilla ("The Sea Inside"), Maria Ruiz ("What a Feeling") and TV star Fran Perea ("The Serranos") with Spanish vets Juan Diego ("The 7th Day") and Lucio Romero ("Mad Love").
