"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and "Step Up 2 The Streets" director Jon M. Chu is reportedly the frontrunner to take over the helm of the sequel "Now You See Me 2" at Universal Pictures.
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Mark Ruffalo are all expected to return for the follow-up to the 2013 illusionist caper film which grossed more than $350 million worldwide.
Louis Leterrier directed the first film and isn't returning for the follow-up. Chu just wrapped work on the upcoming "Jem and the Holograms" movie.
