The Rt. Hon. George Osborne MP, the UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer (basically the Minister of Finance/Secretary of the Treasury) has confirmed that another upcoming "Star Wars" feature film will be produced at the country's Pinewood Studios where "Star Wars: Episode VII" is currently filming.
Osborne revealed the news via his Twitter feed, saying: "On set of Episode VII tonight, can announce another #StarWars film will be made in UK. A #LongTermEconomicPlan in a galaxy far far away."
It hasn't been indicated if he is referring to Episode VIII, or more likely Gareth Edwards' untitled "Star Wars" spin-off which is rumored to follow Boba Fett's life as a bounty hunter leading up to his capture of Han Solo.
Essentially it sounds like Disney & Lucasfilm's "Star Wars" franchise will settle at Pinewood for much of the next decade, the same way Leavesden Film Studios became the regular home of the "Harry Potter" film franchise.
