Fox Cancels "Us & Them" Before Airing

The FOX network has earned a reputation for being rather quick to swing the axe on new series should they even slightly under perform, or cancel beloved genre shows before they fulfil their potential.

Even by their standards though, they surprised many today with word that their new Fall romantic comedy series "Us and Them" has been cancelled without a single episode of the series having gone to air yet.

An American remake of British comedy "Gavin & Stacey," Alexis Bledel and Jason Ritter star as a couple who met via online dating. The biggest issue they face are their completely opposite families played by comedic acting alumni such as Michael Ian Black, Jane Kaczmarek and Kurt Fuller.

Six episodes of the series were produced before filming was halted for script work - production never resumed. Fox has no plans to air the six at later date, pulling the show from the schedule and effectively shelving it altogether.
