Marvel is reportedly assembling its cast list for the upcoming "Doctor Strange" movie with Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch said to be two of the big names on it.
The project is moving along fast now since filmmaker Scott Derrickson tweeted earlier this week that he will direct the film from a script by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.
In the comics, the character is a self-centred New York surgeon robbed of his skills after a car accident. He soon finds his way to a healer in the Himalayas where he learned to tap into psychic powers to battle evil wizards and other wrongdoers.
The main issue with both actors is scheduling due to them already having various commitments elsewhere. Both of them starred together in 2011's "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," the 2007 telemovie "Stuart: A Life Backwards," and both have played the main villain in a "Star Trek" film.
