Jeremy Renner has revealed in a new interview that he's pretty much set to reprise his role of William Brandt in the upcoming fifth "Mission: Impossible" film.
Renner played the role in 2011's "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol," one of the four key team members in the film alongside Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Paula Patton. Cruise and Pegg's return are already confirmed.
Renner, currently shooting "Avengers: Age of Ultron," was asked by Yahoo about the possibility of joining HBO's "True Detective" to which he responded that his busy movie schedule would prevent such an option:
"It's kind of unlikely. In fact, I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie. It's unlikely I can find the time right now. And that's all right. It's just really high-class problems - pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don't, I couldn't."
Christopher McQuarrie is directing from a script by Will Staples. Jessica Chastain was rumored for the female lead, though her involvement hasn't been confirmed.
