Following several collaborations together, including the upcoming "The Equalizer," actor Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua may be re-teaming for the long-gestating remake of the classic western "The Magnificent Seven".

MGM reportedly offered 'Magnificent' to Fuqua last week, though Fuqua's response hasn't been revealed yet. Schmoes Know claims that not only has he accepted, he's already made an offer to Denzel Washington for the lead role.

This would mark Denzel's first real time tackling a western. John Lee Hancock ("The Blind Side") recently penned a re-write of the script by "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto.

Along with "The Equaliser," Fuqua has both the drug smuggling drama "Narco Sub" and the boxing drama "Southpaw" in the works.
