Who Doesn't Love Men in Spandex

Gotta love those superhero movies, and the two biggest single heroes (aside from a certain Kryptonian) with movies on the way have further information today:

"Batman Begins" On top of Rutger Hauer's casting this week, its now revealed that Oscar-nominated actor Tom Wilkinson ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") has landed the part of Gotham City crime overlord Carmine Falcone. Warner Bros. is already targeting a summer 2008 release date for the sequel. Batman on Film reports that Tilbury Fort in Essex is being used for filming the Bat-Cave and the airship hangar at Cardington in Bedfordshire is being used for the Gotham City filming. These are the airship hangars where the R100 and the R101 flew from in the 1930's. Finally actor Gerard Murphy is in talks for a role.

"Spider-Man 3-7" USA Today reports that Sony executives are looking at the possibility of as many as six Spider-Man movies, which would make it second only to James Bond as an enduring action series. Producer Laura Ziskin says "I'm trying to get my mind around the third film, and the studio is already looking ahead to the sixth, and the second one isn't out yet. But I believe Spider-Man can do something that hasn't been done in the movies". Meanwhile an extended and detailled breakdown of the new trailer and ShoWest footage for the second film is up at Superhero Hype.

"Elektra" If there's one person who proves you don't need a bulging lunchbox to sell a pair of tights, its Jennifer Garner. The high kicking "Alias" star reprises her role of Elektra in the upcoming "Daredevil" spin-off which is about to begin shooting and the film's producer Gary Foster spoke with USA Today and confirmed that 'Typhoid Mary' will be the 'female foil' to Garner's character - "Typhoid Mary is a psychotic. By day she's this normal woman, and at night she loses her mind and drives you into this disease, where you literally get typhoid".

Thanks to 'Micah', 'The Riddler', 'Brandon', 'KarlChilders' & 'JHBlade'.
