Whilst James Gunn's name was dismissed, Heat Vision claims to have a short list of at least three of the actual replacements being considered to take over the director's chair on Marvel's upcoming "Ant-Man" film.

Their sources say Rawson Marshall Thurber ("Dodgeball," "We're the Millers"), Adam McKay ("Anchorman," "Talladega Nights") and Ruben Fleischer ("Zombieland," "Gangster Squad") are among a group of directors that are meeting with the studio to replace Edgar Wright.

It's an interesting mix, directors known mostly for their comedy backgrounds but with some dabbling in more genre-related fare.

Thurber reportedly appears to have an edge according to The Wrap which says McKay's work and Fleischer's new baby commitments have pushed them to the back. No official decision has yet been made though.
