Devil's Moving House
Max La Bella has been hired to script a biopic about murderess Amy Archer-Gilligan called "The Devil's Rooming House" at A7SLE Films.
Based on the novel by M. William Phelps, the story follows the unassuming nursing home proprietress who had a curiously high number of fatalities occur in her house between 1907 and 1917. Her story would go on to inspire the play and film "Arsenic And Old Lace." [Source: Deadline]
Lionsgate has acquired film rights to Danielle Vega's upcoming horror novel "The Merciless" and set "Pretty Little Liars" creator Marlene King to adapt the novel.
Inspired by real events, the story follows a new girl at a small-town high school who is taken in by the popular clique, only to have them compel her into joining them in a dangerous exorcism of a punky, rebellious classmate. [Source: Heat Vision]
Any Means Necessary
"Boondocks" executive producer Rodney Barnes has been hired to rewrite the buddy action-comedy "Any Means Necessary" for producer Neal Moritz and Sony Pictures.
The story deals with two estranged brothers, one a cop and the other a criminal, who team up to go undercover. Marlon Wayans and Mike Epps are attached to star. [Source: Deadline]
