Smith On Affleck's Batman Color Scheme

Whilst we've seen the black and white photo of Ben Affleck in the new Batman costume, many have been wondering what kind of color scheme the suit will adopt. It has previously been indicated the suit will forgo the 'black on black' stylings of previous films in favour of something more grey or even navy.

In the latest episode of his Hollywood Babble-On podcast, Kevin Smith spoke some more about the costume and how it compared to an early shot of the outfit that "Batman vs. Superman" director Zack Snyder showed him a while back:

"They put it on a fake rooftop, and they lit it up. But it was in color, and you could see every piece of detail...

So what the suit looks like, and I was always kind of keeping it quiet until they revealed it, but they've revealed it. And you can kind of see, and anybody that... you've seen some people take the picture and color it online.

If you want to see what this suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight... it's the exact outfit he's wearing. That’s why I hugged that guy all those months ago."

In that comic, the suit is a pale gray, the cape and cowl and bat logo are black, the belt is off yellow, and in one panel the cape has a blue tinge to it.
