Halle Berry is set to star in Luis Prieto's thriller "Kidnap" at Lotus Entertainment. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Erik Howsam are producing.

Untitled Anne Fletcher Project
John Carroll Lynch, Richard T. Jones and Robert Kazinsky are joining Anne Fletcher's untitled female buddy action comedy at MGM and New Line. Lynch will play a humorless police captain, Jones a cocky detective partner, Kazinsky a charming parolee.

The story centers on an uptight, by-the-book cop (Reese Witherspoon) who is trying to protect the sexy and outgoing widow of a drug boss (Sofia Vergara) as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen. [Source: THR]

The Greens Are Gone
Catherine Keener, Kiernan Shipka and Anton Yelchin are set to star in Peer Pedersen's "The Greens Are Gone" which begins shooting next month in Massachusetts. Cary Elwes, Riley Keough, Annie Starke, Lois Smith, and Ryan Eggold also star.

Keener plays the matriarch of a dysfunctional family who has pushed to her tipping point by the disappearance of her son (Yelchin). Shipka will play her bipolar daughter. [Source: Deadline]

Viral
Linzie Gray has been cast in Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost's micro budget horror flick "Viral" at Blumhouse Productions, IM Global, and Dimension Films.

Gray plays the best friend of Emma (Sofia Black-D’Elia) who starts exhibiting symptoms when a deadly virus starts making its way around town. Analeigh Tipton also stars. [Source: Deadline]

Drumline: A New Beat
Alexandra Shipp ("House of Anubis") will star in the TV movie follow-up to Nick Cannon's 2002 feature "Drumline". Leonard Roberts, Letoya Luckett, Jasmine Burke and Scott Shilstone also star.

Shipp plays an upper-class Brooklyn girl who defies her parents in order to attend Atlanta A&T so she can join - and revitalize - its once-prominent drumline. Her efforts are hampered by upperclassmen like her cousin (Jeff Pierre), her feelings for fellow bandmate (Jordan Calloway) and the school's crosstown rivals. [Source: Screen]
