Casting: Lewis, Deneuve, Sarsgaard, McKellen

Damian Lewis ("Homeland") will guest star in the upcoming Shakespeare comedy "Bill". Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond also star.

The story deals with what happened during Shakespeare's 'Lost Years' - how the hopeless lute player Bill Shakespeare left his family and home to follow his dream. [Source: Screen]

The Brand New Testament
Catherine Deneuve has joined the cast of Jaco Van Dormael's surreal comedy "The Brand New Testament" which begins filming in July. Comedian Benoit Poelvoorde plays God while Yolande Moreau plays his wife.

In the story, God currently lives in Brussels where he's an odious man disliked by his family. When his daughter runs away from home, God takes to the streets to find her and discovers the horrors of a world he created himself. [Source: Screen]

Experimenter
Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder are set to star in Michael Almereyda's indie drama "Experimenter: The Stanley Milgram Story". Josh Hamilton, Jim Gaffigan and Dennis Haysbert also star whilst filming begins June 5th in New York.

The true story tale deals with famed social psychologist Stanley Milgram (Sarsgaard), who in 1961 designed the controversial Obedience Experiments at Yale University which dealt with conformity and authority. Ryder would play Sasha Menkin, a student who helps with the experiments and with whom he falls in love. [Source: THR]

Untitled Noel Coward Biopic
Sir Ian McKellen, Jonathan Pryce and Vanessa Redgrave are in talks to star in a biopic of UK playwright Noel Coward. "Glee" actor Chris Colfer is attached to lead the cast. Filming aims to begin in the late Summer in the UK.

Martin Sherman ("Bent") penned the script which follows the early life and influences of the famously flamboyant British playwright, producer and wit who penned classics including Private Lives and Blithe Spirit. [Source: Screen]
