Ben Stiller is in negotiations to star in "A Night at the Museum" for 20th Century Fox says Canada.com.
The family comedy centers on a goodhearted but bumbling security guard, to be played by Stiller, who works at a museum of natural history and accidentally brings down an ancient curse that causes the animals and insects on display to come to life.
"Museum" is set to begin shooting early next year in Vancouver (though was originally scheduled for Montreal) under the helm of Shawn Levy ("Cheaper by the Dozen") and is slated for a holiday 2006 release.
