Terry Gilliam's passion project "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" may have found a new lead.
At a Q&A at the recent Derby Film Festival, actor John Hurt revealed that Terry Gilliam has asked Hurt to star as Don Quixote in the long-delayed, and previously cancelled film.
The story follows an advertising executive jumps back and forth in time between 21st century London and 17th century La Mancha, where Don Quixote mistakes him for Sancho Panza.
Robert Duvall was previously attached as Quixote back in 2010. Johnny Depp was cast as as the executive in the previous version that collapsed, and was willing to give it a go the second time around - ultimately having to bow out.
Gilliam hopes to start filming later this year.
