"Divergent" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" scribe Evan Daugherty has been set to make his feature directorial debut on "Ink And Bone" for Dimension Films.
The story follows a female book editor who visits the home of a horror writer so she can coax him to complete his novel. She discovers that all of his creations are holding him hostage.
Zak Olkewicz penned the spec script which Dimension acquired last year. Daugherty will do a rewrite and then take the helm.
Daugherty self-financed and directed a series of short films entitled "The Four Players" last Fall. The shorts were described as a "gritty re-imagining" of the key characters in the Super Mario Bros. video game series.
