During the unveiling of its slate of new films being sold at Cannes, one big surprise came up - "Spring Breakers: The Second Coming".
The follow-up to Harmony Korine's trippy bikini girls crime drama from last year sees the girls do battle with an extreme militant Christian sect that attempts to convert them.
Wild Bunch say it's NOT a direct sequel, but "there are allusions to some of the characters in the original". The cast is expected to be a mix of both familiar and new characters.
"Trainspotting" and "Filth" author Irvine Welsh has reportedly written the screenplay and Swedish filmmaker Jonus Akerlund will direct.
