One of the most notable absences in the upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is that of actor James Marsden. Marsden's Cyclops character met his fate in 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand" and sadly, unlike Patrick Stewart's Professor X, he doesn't get to live twice.
Recently though the actor was asked by Crave if he was going to return at some point in the future to the franchise, either in the 1980s set "X-Men: Apocalypse" or any of the other upcoming sequels or spin-offs:
"I've always been very proud of my role and it's out of my hands. It's nice to see Bryan [Singer] go back in and turn the boat a little bit. I'm happy for those that made it back. I'd like to. I get excited watching the trailers because I'm excited for the continuance of the X-Men world. I'm a fan of X-Men and I know it'll be a kick ass movie."
The question is even if Cyclops were to come back for 'Apocalypse', wouldn't they be more likely to recast him, as the character would be considerably younger, like they did in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"?
